RAKİ - TURKEY


 

It started to be produced by the non-Muslim subjects in Rumeli in the last periods of the Ottoman Empire, and over time it became a widely consumed drink in Anatolia. In the 19th century, raki became a popular drink in taverns run by non-Muslims.

Alcohol content by volume should be at least 40%.

It cannot be drunk without appetizers and love.
